Directions

Here’s driving directions to the trailheads (meeting points).

Peak District (Edale start) – S33 7ZP approx – map
From M1 J29, take A617 west, then A619. At Baslow turn R onto A623, then at Sparrowpit turn R, then follow signs to Edale. Car park is £3 up to 4 hours, or a fiver for longer.

Cannock Chase (Follow the Dog) – WS15 2UQ – map – route
From M69 take A5 past Tamworth, R on A38, then A51 thru Lichfield. In Rugeley cross railway, ignore A460, turn L onto Hagley, L onto Penkridge, and eventually L into Birches Valley car park.

Woburn Sands – MK17 8TR – map – trail forum thing

From M1 J13, take the A507 south. Follow it through Aspley Guise to the mini roundabout, and take the 2nd exit (Church Road). Meet in the car park at the top of Church Road.

Aston Hill – HP22 5NQ – map – website
Is in Buckinghamshire – take the A41 NW out of London. Have to pay £5 as you enter the car park.

Chicksands – map
From M1 J13, turn north on A507, but take first right. After 1 mile turn left (A507 again). 12 miles later, turn left onto A600. Drive past the wood and park on the grass by the cross-roads.
Londoners can take A1(M) to J10, then A507 west, A600 north.
